Research shows that the most effective treatment for many psychiatric problems is a two-pronged approach which includes both psychotherapy or counseling and medication. Because the Affiliates in Behavioral Health state-of-the-art practice offers both counseling and psychiatric care in one location, treatment is carefully coordinated to allow optimal levels of communication while avoiding costly duplication of services. Affiliates' clinical counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists collaborate to develop an integrated, evidence based treatment plan which can be implemented in our comfortable and confidential office setting conveniently located in the center of Greater Cleveland.

Marcia Bremenour, L.P.C.C.

Education:  Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling, Cleveland State University, Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Industrial Psychology with a specialization in Technical Writing

Licensure/Certifications: L.P.C.C.-S., Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision certification with the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist Board, State of Ohio Gestalt Institute of Cleveland – Gestalt training Program – IV Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Experience: Marcia Bremenour is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.  Marcia’s 25 years experience in the counseling field includes 10 years of service supporting clients and families struggling with addiction and duel diagnosis issues, primarily at an intensive outpatient level of care.  Marcia has been in private practice working with adults and teens, couples, and families for the last 15 years.  She specializes in treating symptoms of mood disorders including anxiety, depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and addiction as well as personality disorders including borderline, narcissism. and obsessive compulsive personality.  Her work with clients addresses factors including self-care, self-esteem, motivation, boundaries, and quality of relationships and life in general.  Marcia endorses a holistic approach to therapy and relies on evidence-based treatment methods including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gestalt training, and spirituality to support recovery and a healthy lifestyle.  She will work closely with other providers involved in your care including doctors and psychiatrists to support your overall wellbeing.

Marina Forkosh, L.I.S.W.

Experience: Marina has a wealth of experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  She provides psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and their families.  She works with individuals with a  wide variety of diagnoses and clinical issues including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, substance abuse recovery, eating disorders, trauma, bereavement and parenting issues.  She has specialized training in crisis intervention, trauma and school-related issues.  Marina has also evaluated and treated individuals with addictions (including dual diagnosis and gambling)

Shura Hegde, M.D.

Education: M.D. – LVOV State Medical Institute, with Honors

Licensure/Certifications: Board Certified, Psychiatry and Neurology

Experience: Psychiatric assessment and medication management of adults. Seasoned psychiatrist with training experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings and in community mental health and private practice. Internship training: MetroHealth Medical Center Residency training: MetroHealth Medical Center, Chief Resident, 1995-1996, Recipient of the Hegde Award, 1999 for outstanding contribution to the Dept. of Psychiatry. Guest lecturer, various pharmaceutical companies Fluent in Russian, Unkarinian, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada.

Charel Khol, Ph.D.

Education: Ph.D., Counseling Psychology, Kent State University M.S., Education, Ohio University B.S., Ohio State University

Licensure/Certifications: Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology, Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards Registered Psychologist: Council for the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology Certificate of Achievement – Crisis Intervention Training, Child Guidance Centers

Experience: Dr. Khol has provided therapy to adults, children, and families on an inpatient and outpatient basis. She has provided child and adolescent counseling services, therapy specific to sexual abuse, treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, physical disabilities, genetic and neurological disorders. She has consulted with family physicians and specialists in ADHD and on Early Childhood Intervention teams.

Gina Mazzone LISW, LICDC

Education: MSW Cleveland State University Cleveland, Ohio; BSW Cleveland State University Cleveland, Ohio

Licensure/Certifications: LISW, Licensed Independence Social Worker LICDC, Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor

Experience: Gina has experience working in outpatient settings, schools, and correctional facilities. She provides psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and their families. Gina works with individuals in treating depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, ADHD, substance abuse disorders, and parenting issues. Additionally, she has experience working with youth who have been in foster care and permanent placement through Cuyahoga County Department of Children and Family Services. Gina also has extensive experience working with adolescents involved with the juvenile justice system.

Nick Palumbo, L.I.S.W.

Experience: Practicing for more than 30 years. Experienced in treatment of adolescents and adults. Extensive experience and special interest in marital, couples and family therapy , anxiety and depression, sexuality issues, and recovery from childhood trauma.

Dan Williams, M.A., L.P.C.C.

Education: M.Ed., Community Agency Counseling – Cleveland State University Cleveland, OH B.A., Psychology -Cleveland State University Cleveland, OH

Licensure/Certifications: L.P.C.C. – Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

Experience: In his nearly twenty years of experience, Mr. Williams has provided direct care, crisis intervention, treatment planning and counseling for children, adolescents and their families. In addition, he has worked with adults in outpatient settings, treating them for a variety of mental health conditions. Mr. Williams has also provided counseling and case management services to children diagnosed with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.  

Sara Zuchowski, M.D.

Georgene Kohlbacher, LISW-S CEAP

Education: MSW The Ohio State University, Bachelors in Science in Psychology from Bowling Green State University

Liccnsure/Certifications: LISW-S CEAP -certified employee assistance professional.

Areas of Interest/Specialty: Georgene specializes with adults counseling for anxiety, depression, mood disorders as well a couples counseling. Specialties include Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counseling – conflicts in the workplace, formal mandatory referrals for counseling, work life balance .. and change in life events such as retirement. Georgene also has years of experience working in healthcare dealing with chronic medical conditions, trauma and grief counseling. She has been in the field for 34 years.
